Awards to honor those who, worldwide, illustrate the specific characteristics of France’s food culture through artistic creation, science, technology, academic work or entrepreneurial actions.
Presentation of the 2008 rewards For their 6th edition, the French Food Spirit Awards were presented on October 22, 2008 in the prestigious setting of the Palais des Affaires Etrangères to an Austrian, a Japanese, a Pole and a Frenchman.

The 2008 prizewinners were:
Culture Award: Sarah Wiener, Austrian, Producer and star of a culinary TV series broadcast on Arte, the French-German channel,
Science Award: Hiroshi Yamamoto, Japanese legal expert, wine buff and writer
Enterprise Award: the Pole Pascal Brodnicki, restaurant owner and creator of a French food culture dissemination company in Poland
Special Jury Award of the “Dairy Products”: Joël Robuchon
Michelin-starred chef with a worldwide reputation
